The ASBMR Scientific Program Committee is seeking members to volunteer to serve as abstract reviewers and session chairs for the 2026 Annual Meeting.
This is an opportunity to engage with fellow researchers, physicians, and experts in the bone, mineral, and musculoskeletal field while helping shape the scientific program. If you’re interested, please complete the volunteer form by Friday, January 30.

The ASBMR Scientific Program Committee will review all volunteer submissions. Invitations for abstract reviewers will be sent in March 2026, and invitations for session chairs will be sent in June 2026.

Qualifications
Both the abstract reviewer and session chair positions are opportunities to represent the most highly rated science in the bone, mineral and musculoskeletal field. As such, the following qualifications are necessary for the respective positions:
Abstract Reviewer
- Current ASBMR membership
- Review and score 50-100 abstracts
- Maintain confidentiality and disclose any conflicts
- Expertise in assigned category
- Available during review period (May 2026)
Session Chair
- Current ASBMR membership
- Attend the ASBMR 2026 Annual Meeting in-person
- Manage session timing
- Facilitate question and answer sessions
- Prepare one to three (1-3) questions for each presenter
